MP V4: 1/28 competition chassis

The MP V4 is a new scale 1/28 chassis for competition use that allows to use the aftermarket components of you choice (PN Racing, Atomic...) like motor mounts, t-plates, springs and knucles. In this way the driver will be able to try different set-up’s and the spare parts will be always available.
Due to the 2mm carbon fiber construction everything seats really very low in the chassis, batteries and servo are lower than ever, and all the other components are much more lower than in a stock 02. Also thanks to the CF material it's a very light and rigid chassis. The chassis is around 130gr without receiver, transponder and body, (motor, batteries, esc and servo included) that means that you will have a closed to stock kyosho chassis weight and a 10 to 20gr lighter than a full option kyosho chassis (it will depend on the electronic part).
The front suspension it's a king pin type that uses standard Mini-Z knucles and springs) with the possibility to change camber, caster and springs-stoppers just unscrewing two screws.
There will be 8 different CF tower bar that allows to have 16 different combinations of camber-caster angles, always going from 0 to 3 degrees, without being necessary to change the knucles. Thanks to this characteristic the suspension is much more smooth and there is a huge save in set-up time.
Due to the fact that it's a multilenght chassis, it’s possible to configure the chassis to use the body of your choice in plastic or polycarbonate material with these wheelbase: 86-90-94-98-102-106 using standard aftermarket motormunts and t-plates.
For the back suspension i’m thinking at the moment in three different possibilities, two disc dampers + hydraulic shock and one tube damper + hydraulic shock. All this types of suspension will be ultralow to lower the gravity center and multilenght, this means that you don’t need a different suspension for every wheelbase you use.
The upper tray made out also of CF (just 1.5gr weight) press the batteries to the chassis and work like a surface to stick on it the electronics. Also between the battery pack there is 27x15mm space where is possible to install a tiny ESC or receiver or to put some weight to better balance the car.

Hello Martin,

Nice chassis you made here...hope you'll be able to make some for sell but the competition it's ruff with Inzane PRO28, Sinister or MRCG, ready to race. To bad you didn't have a Hurda Cup to test your car. Here in Bucharest I organized the Hurda Challenge and it was won by a guy with a CF prototype chassis, similar to yours. He was planing to sell but for the moment he abandoned the project, hope you don't.

Can you tell me how do you make the linkage between the knuckles and the ball linkage system...do you have a close up picture ?

Thanks !
iulian
